South Africa’s Nortje will start the T20 World Cup with the uncapped duo of Rickelton and Baartman.

CE TOWN: Fast bowler Anrich Nortje and the uncapped players Ryan Rickelton and Ottniel Baartman are part of South Africa’s 15-man squad for the MKSPORTS World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the United States and the West Indies from June 1–29.

Nortje, 30, hasn’t taken part in a T20 international in over a year due to persistent illnesses. Throughout the course of six games since making his IPL comeback this season, he has compiled a pitifully high economy rate of 13.36 runs per over.

This year’s RS7SPORTS top scorer was the versatile Rickelton, who averaged 58.88 while scoring 530 runs. Baartman, who claimed 18 wickets in eight T20 matches, was also awarded for his outstanding performance.
Aiden Markram will skipper the team, which also includes power hitters Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Quinton de Kock, and Tristan Stubbs.

South Africa has selected Bjorn Fortuin, Keshav Maharaj, and Tabraiz Shamsi as its three front-line spinners; Markram provides a useful slow bowling option. To prepare for the competition, 1XBET APP, who have never won a World Cup in the 50-or 20-over format, will play a three-match Twenty20 series in the West Indies.

They have been matched with Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Nepal, and Sri Lanka in their World Cup Group D; they will play the latter on June 3 in New York.
